Nkrataa is part of larger portfolio of software products designed to help Ghanaians communicate and thus progress and develop by taking ownership of the new communications technologies and making their contributions to its development.
The free edition of Nkraata has been released. Features in this edition include;
- Ability to perform rich text formatting on Akan text documents.
- Incorporation of special Unicode fonts with support for alphabets peculiar to the Akan dialects.
- Ability to input Akan characters from keyboard with simple keystrokes without the use of any special key combinations.
- Ability to produce documents that can be opened by other text editing software, and also open documents produced by such software.
